Lindy Loo's Country Cuzins in June
Next up - we're playing in Lindy Loo's Country Cuzins show at the Rodeo Bar on June 18; always a great time! Lindy Loo and her Lucky Fellers go on at 9, us at 10:30.
This Sunday 4/14 at the Treehouse!
Have you heard the news? I have a new bass player - Monica "Li'l Mo" Passin! I'll also have Homeboy Steve (guitar) and Eric Seftel (percussion) with me, playing at the Treehouse at 2A (25 Ave. A at 2nd St.) this Sunday at 9pm! This is show number 2 for us, and we have a bunch of new songs to play for you. No cover, tips greatly appreciated.
I was gonna keep it a secret, but I just can't: since the show is on April 14, Loretta Lynn's birthday, Monica and I are gonna sing a Loretta tune together! I consider Monica to be our local Loretta authority, so this is a real treat for me. Then at 11pm, I'll join Homeboy Steve on harmony vocals for a set of his songs. He'll also have members of the Dirty Water Dogs with him, too. Also, Bryan Dunn at 10pm. Thanks to Tom Clark for having us at the grooviest place to be on a Sunday night! The Treehouse
I feel very fortunate to get to play my next show at Tom Clark's Treehouse at 2A, Sunday April 14 at 9pm! This series is my favorite thing going in the city now. I'll be there this Sunday March 31 to hang out and hear Li'l Mo's Field of Stars. Read more about the Treehouse in this EV Grieve interview of Tom Clark: Checking in on the Treehouse, where you can find free live music every Sunday night above 2A
New, new, new!
My next show is at ZirZamin on 3/24 at 7pm, first band show in nearly a year! I'm going to do a bunch of new material, originals and covers, and we've re-arranged a bunch of the old ones to accomodate - get this - my electric guitar. Rock!
Also, I've got the most fabulous new bass player - Monica "Li'l Mo" Passin! I've been singing with Monica for years with her amazing and so-much-fun band Li'l Mo and the Monicats. It was just about a year ago that I went to Asheville, North Carolina with her to record her latest album, Whole Lotta Lovin'. This is from that record, with yours truly on the harmony vocals: |
